Collio is an upper Valle Trompia village on the approach to Maniva from this side. Its centre and hamlets offer a useful stop alongside a day at the resort, with an introduction to the valley’s communities and history.
The Bavorgo stream runs through the village. A walk in the centre introduces the spaces of everyday life. San Colombano, Memmo and Tizio are separate places: use the precise destination when setting your navigation or arranging a meeting.
Sant’Aloisio mine, within the Collio area, introduces the history of mountain work. Combining it with the village helps explain the relationship between communities, resources and mining. Check the visit calendar and booking arrangements; it is not continuously open for unrestricted access.
Plan travel from the Valle Trompia side and check road conditions. The two road approaches are separate in winter: a village stop does not provide a crossing to Bagolino over the pass. Check the currently published service for any shuttle arrangements.
